Privacy Policy
Begin: Prayer & Bible Journal
Last Updated: 2026-04-13
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how MT Studio ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Begin: Prayer & Bible Journal app ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
2. Information We Collect
Stored locally on your device only — never transmitted to our servers:
- Daily session history (completed days, streaks)
- App settings (reminders, theme, display name)
- Prayer progress and journey data
- Journal entries and spiritual check-in scores
Anonymous analytics (Amplitude):
We send anonymous in-app events and the following user properties to Amplitude to understand how users experience the App and improve it:
- Prayer focus topic and preferred session length (from onboarding quiz)
- Total prayer sessions completed
- Subscription plan status (free / pro)
- Last spiritual check-in score after a prayer session
These properties are tied to an anonymous ID only — no name, email, or device identifier is included. We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and improving product experience.
Anonymous identifier (Firebase):
We generate a random anonymous ID to enable community features and provide consistent anonymous usage data across our services. This ID contains no personal information and cannot be used to identify you.
Crash reporting (Sentry):
When the App encounters an error, Sentry may collect the error type, stack trace, device OS version, and app version. No personal information is included. We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining App stability.
Subscription data (RevenueCat):
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple or Google. RevenueCat provides us with subscription status and an anonymous customer ID. To measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, RevenueCat sends anonymised purchase events (no name, email, or payment data) to Meta Ads and Google Ads via server-to-server integrations. This allows us to understand which campaigns lead to subscriptions, without sharing any personally identifiable information.
Community prayer requests:
If you submit a prayer request, it is stored on Firebase with your anonymous ID, category, text, and timestamp.
3. How We Use Information
We use the limited information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the App
- Enable community prayer features
- Improve the App based on anonymous usage data
- Manage subscription access
- Measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns (attribution only — no personal targeting)
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
